22) Fierce & Tender: Staying Open Without Falling Apart

Content warning: In this episode I talk about some heavy stuff - the Epstein files, ICE enforcement and fatal shootings, collective trauma. Listen when it feels right for you.

How do we stay present and connected when the world feels overwhelming?

In this episode, I talk about holding both gratitude and grief, clarity and confusion...especially when current events feel too big to process.

I share what's been coming up for me: feeling lonely while also deeply grateful, processing disturbing news about abuse and violence, and noticing how my body responds when everything feels like too much. We explore why we either shut down completely or stay in constant fight mode, and what it actually takes to stay grounded and open instead.

You'll also hear:

  • A powerful moment at a grief circle that helped everything make sense
  • Working with fierce and tender energy (through Kali, Durga, and Lalita Tripura Sundari)
  • What emotional fluidity is and what it looks like in daily life
  • Why holding paradox is the work right now
  • A simple body-based practice to try right now

This isn't about forcing yourself to be calm or positive. It's about learning to feel your real feelings without getting stuck or overwhelmed. It's about staying present with yourself during times of change.
